In the fifth session Tupua Tamasese Me’ole read out 17 points and provided a written translation. The document was signed by Faumuina, Tamasese, Tuimalealiifano and confirmed by Faifili, Alipia, Autagavaia, Namulauulu, Lovea, Tuala, Maululo, Asi, V. Tuavi, Leleua, Gasu, Lagania, Teoui, T. Lelafu, Tuivia and Lofigo. It dealt with the wanted men that had been listed in pamphlets dropped from the sea plane. The Mau wanted the names of Mau leaders on the list removed, unless they faced serious charges, such as murder (none did); ‘How can such a meeting be held on an equal footing as to the two sides unless all punishments imposed by the Government on Sāmoans and Europeans arising out of this controversy have been wiped out?’
